Irene Kim, owner of Kindled Life Doula Services, is a Maryland-based doula who combines her depth of knowledge and experience with her deep passion for supporting birthing women.
Irene has over 10 years of experience as a doula. As a Bradley Method® certified teacher, Irene offers classes and doula services to help equip mothers and their families to have the most calming, positive, and supportive birth experience possible while empowering them to have a voice and know their options for every step of the process.

As a birthing advocate, Irene calmly and compassionately supports moms throughout labor and delivery, empowering them to make decisions that are right for them, and creating an environment that will bring a healthy baby into the world safely.
Irene’s classes are comprehensive yet easy-to-understand, interactive, and draw upon her vast experiences in the hundreds of births she’s participated in. Offering virtual and in-person options, attendees have a variety of options and session lengths to choose from.
Irene offers postpartum support to recovering mothers who need an extra helping hand after the baby is born. From simply holding the baby, to breastfeeding guidance, to even doing light house chores, Irene helps the transition of a growing family go smoothly as they bond and navigate the postpartum period.

Kindled Life Doula Services was born out of Irene’s passion to support birthing women. After having amazing birth experiences herself and then hearing of some less-than-great experiences of her friends and family, Irene felt compelled to put her passion to work.
